When Should I Use Blogs?
There are many ways to share information here on IUMIEN.COM, including the Forum, Shout Box, Comments and now Blogs. With the addition of Blogs, you might ask when should I use Blogs? How are blogs different than the Forum?
Blogs are More Permanent
Blogs are more permanent in that they tend to be more about subjects that withstand the test of time. Forum topics tend to be "subjects of the day" and informal discussions.
Blogs are More Author-oriented
The subjects of blogs are often about subjects that the author is passionate about. For example, one might blog about music if the he/she is passionate about music. This doesn't mean you can't blog if you aren't passionate about one particular subject. You can blog on anything that you might want to write about.
