All Mien Basketball Tournaments

For the past year (2007) Mien Basketball seemed to have died within all Mien Community’s. It’s either lack of players or lack of people wanting to host a tournament. Due too the fact that people complain too much or for whatever reason they have.

Our GOAL
To improve from prior mistakes made at past tournaments.

Mien Basketball Association would like to invite all Mien Basketball players and teams to come join our “First Annual MBA Classics.”

We would like to get 16 ALL MIEN TEAMS before Mid February. We want to make this tournament bigger and better.

Formats
16 teams break down into 4 brackets
Each team will play all 3 teams in their bracket
Top 2 teams from each bracket advance to the play off
Each team will be guaranteed 3 Games

Price
$350/$400 per team

Referees
As human we all make mistakes. Look at the NBA the Reff’s there even makes bad calls. As of now we are looking for real certify REF’S. In our discussion this was one of the areas that we really want to work on and improve at.

We’re not sure if people still come in IuMien.COM to check up on upcoming events. But if you come across this post please pass the word around...

come on guys if yall post something keep the readers updated.. well how many teams are in now n is in still going on? how are teams suppose to cantact u if u dont anwser back ur e mails? maybe a phone # we can contact u at?

If Portland Finest comes down then we would be able to discount your team 150 since you guys won the Redding tournament last year with an Almost All-Miean All Star Team.

The Commissioner and its Committee has spoken it will be best for MBA to open this tournament up for ALL ASIANS.

That’s Right! We will be opening the tournament up for All Asians. We cannot wait for Laggers to make up their decision. And plus we have 3 basketball courts paid for at Basketball Town. All we need now is teams to sign up.

Since the Redding tournament is the weekend after ours. We hope we can get some top mien teams to participant in this tournament.

The only way we can get the top mien teams to play is to give them some kind of discount on the team fees. Each team will have a different discount, depending on your teams all around skill level.

The following teams are eligible:
Sac City
Oroville
Portland Finest
RDG SKRUBZ

Those are the only top Mien Teams we heard or known of…

Again:

Team Fees: $350.00
Certified REF’s
3 Full Courts
High School BBALL Rules
Etc.

Prize:

Third Place $500.00
Second Place $750.00
First Place $1500.00

The prize money will not be deducted from the following mien teams that listed above if they win or get place.

If so can someone from Redding please let us know if they will be hosting their Traditional Mien Basketball Tournament?

As of now we will be moving

As of now we will be moving the Basketball tournament to Sacramento. Our community had a discussion over the weekend and it would be best to hold it in our hometown. Sacramento.

Location: Sacramento, As for Gym? We are hoping to reserve 4 courts at Basketball Town here in Sac. As of rite now we are awaiting information for its availability.

As soon as we receive information on the gym we will post up the Date of the tournament. It will be sometime in April. Were hoping for Mid April!

just to let u know April is not a good month..thats when redding host their tourneys..they host it every year april spring break...good idea tho bringing the mien tourney backs

Unfortunately, the committee and I had a long discussion about the Redding tournament in April. We were hoping that you guys wasn’t going to throw one since no one mention it. But like we’ve mention on our prior post that we will open it up to All Asians if we cannot get 16 Mien Teams.
