I'd recommend that you not wear Flip-Flops, might get injured and besides... it makes a funny sound when you move your feet. The additional sound may throw off someone else's rhythm.

I recommend that all the MEN wear Orange Spandex shorts and a Black Fish Net Shirt with Sun Glasses. The Ladies - wear Baggy Gray Sweat shirts with the sleeves cut off, Black tight pants and make your hair look as big as they can possibly look. When this is achieved, take a picture of it and email it to me. It will the best desktop wallpaper ever. I will then send the picture into National Geographics and ask them to write an article about the Evolution of the Iu-Mien people.

I am totally excited that You enjoy my music YNT. I enjoyed composing it, every little bit of it. I'm just happy that I could contribute to your reunion, for the good of the Iu-Mien community. All it took was a little bit of time on the turntables, mixers and COFFEE! Ah yes, coffee. I am sure that your reunion will be a blast, I just wish that I had time to come down to see it.

Dear fellow Mien brothers and sisters of Shasta County,

Greetings from Shasta County! We are so pleased to invite you and your family to attend our first reunion/celebration scheduled for July 26, 2008 at Anderson Fairground’s Shasta Hall. We have been honoring Shasta County Mien residents graduating from high school, junior college, vocational programs, state universities and universities since 1994. We now want to honor all of our Mien Shasta County graduates from 1985 through 2008 by bringing everyone home. This will also be a celebration for all of our people’s accomplishments and progress in Shasta County since our first Mien family’s arrival here in 1985.

We are also compiling information about our graduates by updating our old graduation files. We need you to email the following information to wpien@co.shasta.ca.us (Wernjiem Pien) or ythungc@gwusd.org (Yoon Nam Thungc). Your name, email address, contact number and address. We also want to know when and where you graduated from for all of your graduations (high school, college, etc). Please include a brief update of where you are in your career or personal information/accomplishments you want to share with your Mien community.

This is a great opportunity to participate and give back to your community by volunteering your time and/or donating money to make this year’s annual graduation and reunion possible. Your financial contribution is tax deductible. If each graduate donates $20.00, it will cover our resource booklet which is intended for our Mien families to use to connect with one another, to have a personal contact with a specific service provider when our families are needing or wanting that particular service.
