Basketball Tourney - Redding

That wasn't a real title match...more like a qualifying bout....dawinest chumps is like Ivan Drago. The peoples champs, Oroville and Sac City are Rocky's....the peoples champs. Sure, Drago's steroids killed Apollo...but we all know who prevails in the end. Even Antonio Tarver is no match...haha. Great prelude to the next Tourney y'all. There might be some trash talking but that's all part of this. You guys realize that bball is the most popular on this forum....keep it up y'all.

Going back to the very 1st Mien Tournament, I don't think Sonny (Sou Fou) wanted this outcome. That was the best tournament because everyone got along and all the players were about which city they lived in no matter how much their team sucked. My two cents.

They would be a great team if they werent so damn cocky...everytime you look at them they think they the shit...every single player...well most players...anyways just watch out for them next tourny they good but look at their body language and what they say...its sad...some of them are 26 and the person they are playing against is 17 lol but w.e just my input..

there can be another tourny in redding if teams show interest. I would make it so that all the teams can get in. all the good teams. any takers???

Da Finest was missing two really good players in the game Johnny and Son.. Johnny was hurt!!! Son was on vacation couldn't make it down to Redding.. Both were starters in the past tourney!!!

Mikey is 27 just turned two weeks ago... Jon is done playing has 3 kids... Well Kyle won't hit prime till 21.. He better than most players out there...at 16.. for sure..

Before u talk.. Jon won like 6 or 7 Redding tourneys... Mikey lead the team in Scoring!!! won like 5 tourneys... Johnny won like 6 tourneys... Been MVP of a few tourneys in Redding... Those r the only players left that won more than 2 redding tournaments..

Lo Sing is his name.. I'm not sure if he playing anymore.. To busy working or something and playing poker!!! They really needed him badly.. They a good team and very exciting too watch.. They need more coaching and they should be way more improved.. Even I'm kinda of surprise with such good players they have really under achieved in mien tourneys... Oroville is capable of competing or winning any tourney as long as they stay focus!!! They should develope there bigger kids.. Number 8 is pretty big but I didn't see him playing much.. I'm sure he can play D and grab some rebounds!!!

Mikie in his late- 20's- turning 29....also married with children will be retiring too..

Tubz- Son , Jon and Mikie's nephew (Kyle #5) will take over the game in the next 2 or 3 years. He is an average player for now (only 16)....

it funny how they brought up kao lou n kevin playing for other teams in the long run casue kao lou was bout to run wit sqad up at redding b4 we decided it was to early to go theheh..put it like this both players r free agents....sqad up will be at the next tourney so wen is it??? hahaha anybody??

actually, i think oroville can run with oregon. even though they eventually lost, they showed spurts at a time, that they weren't giving up then and there. a HUGE missing piece to that championship game was Lo. oroville had absolutely nothing but guard play. lo playing in the paint would have helped anchor the inside. we all know what kevin can do, but trust me, had lo been playing, kevin would not have gotten all those easy boards and put backs. oregon was a lot deeper and had more talent, not to mention johnny's inability to play in the championship game, but oroville held their own. next time make sure ur full squad is there. bow wow, scott, and senh make a great 1-2-3, but oroville's point guard(don't know his name), san kee, and lo can be better. by the way, i'm not from oroville, just real talk from a basketball enthusiast. note to oroville: bring your entire squad to the next tourney!

Thats already been done...sac city and oroville have proven that...last year oroville went down to merced and took first in their all asian tourny, with just Oroville players.

Portland aint raw...Kevin and Lou yeah they can talk...but the rest are just cronies riding on their coatails.

We goin to find out if we can win with an all mien team in all asian tourney this summer... I can put few other friends of mine and win all asian tourney for sure.. But I want to win all asian tourney with an all mien team!!! For years I seen different asians that was superior to mien players, but that was 5 or 6 years ago.. Now I think I can put a team together and win asian tournament as long as teams are all pure asians!! Not a quarter or half asians... As long as the asians r all pure asians My team will be able to hold it's own.. I want to show cambodians, laos, and vietnamese players that Mien Teams can compete with them and win too!!!

ORoville is still one of the best because coming from a such small town they have some great ballers, they represent their city...thats pride of winning tournys, to play for your city and represent them.

if the finest want to compete in asian tourneys come to cali...sac city and oroville have proven they can win asian tourneys but can portland?

Obviously this fool is from Oregon, and the so call Da Finest Team only appears in Redding tournament, and never shows up to any of the other Tournaments in Cali, like the all asian tournaments. Oroville should post up some photos of the 1st Place Trophies that they've won, at better tournaments with all asian teams. Oroville have won in Sac, Merced and other places. So don't go saying that u haven't seen Oroville won any of the tournamnets, cause obviously the only tournaments u've showed up to is Redding.

Also unlike the So called Da Finest, Oroville shows up to every tournament in Cali, Mien and All Asian tournaments. So some tournaments they good and some they do bad, and it happens to be Redding tournaments that they haven't gotten over the hump. But obviously Da Finest seems to only show up to Redding. Thats y most people thnk they are good, but if they show up to all the other tournaments, they'll get blow out ....

I'm a basketball scout in training. After what i've seen here's my take on the teams.
1. The Finest: Best talent out of all. With the addition of Kao Lou and Kevin this team can compete in asian tourneys and win. The question is how long will those 2 stay until they go play with merced, sqad up, or redding.
2. Sac City: The most complete team in mien basketball. Sac City Vs. The Finest would be a great game to watch. It would be team vs. talent. Bow Wow, Senh, and Scott provide a great 1-2-3 punch.
3. Oroville Devils: Took 2nd in Redding. Still a talented and dangerous team. SanKee and their point guard is probably the best backcourt tandem. Need someone else to step up though.
4. RDG Youngns: Up and coming team. Proved they can compete with the top teams. Lack experience and are a year or two away from winning the big one.
5. RDG Scrubz: Still solid, but was a big dissapointment. Need to pick up some young talent.
6. Merced: After they figure out who's the go to guy and their rotation they will be able to win.

antone could throe a tourny but are the refs gonna be certified?? i mean the past sac tounys i have been to were people from the streets with a footlocker shirt on.

People are so low, they stoop to calling people names. Whoever you are, don't be such a whiner...calling Tubs names, you don't even know who he is, so don't just go and assume what is not. You're just angry cause you didn't win or the team you want to win didn't win...you're just mad that Tubs took home the 1K and still able to present a winning team! What a loser, calling people names..get a life! Get over it, Da Finest are the CHAMPIONS!
