check this place out...nice quiet place for family picnic or just a nice view of sf....go at night and its just like alki beach a harbour overlooking sfo and the bay bridge no parking fee and space is avaiable for reservation for family gatherings
With the rising temperature of summer coming along living in the bay area is quite a relief. Due to high gas prices I find SF to be a place for refuge when you want cool weather and a place to amuse yourself. Here are a few top picks of mines that I like to do
Chinatown – Where you can stroll down the streets and bargain with folks and to feel Asian and great for souvenirs and just don’t buy at the first market you see with something you like cause all stores carry about the same things but price varies from store to store( hint get off the beatin’ path to beat the price)
Ghirardelli Square – Ice Cream is crazy good and the chocolate who can complain, there are many shops in the square that you can buy high end chocolate from or other souvenirs.
Fisherman's Wharf – A nice view of Alcatraz, lots of sea life come up on shore like sea lions and plenty of those amusement shops to shop from and eat at. Parking can be a hassle but there is a public parking structure.
Coit Tower – A historical land mark that has awesome views of SF from the pier to Golden Gate Bridge when you go up top. A place to relax, stroll, and look at the beautiful murals and stay a little longer for a colorful sunset.
Golden Gate Bridge & Park- There is lots to see and lots to do. The beauty of the bridge is not on the bridge but rather up on the hills. Follow the road up to the cliffs…on the left hand side from highway one o one north after the bridge and one o one south is on the right before the bridge
There are more things to do to be continued
It's time for a backyard vacation! Anyone got a backyard with nice pool where I can "vacation?" =)
