Struggle for ethnic identity

Hi Folks!!

I'm looking for 2 Mien volunteer (male and female between the age of 15-28) to read their essay or a poem about their experiences or the process of forming or coming in terms with their ethnicity for the fundraising banquet on April 19, 2008 in Oakland, CA.

Often the process involved much pain and inner conflict. The struggle for an ethnic identity is a unique struggle faced by the Mien Americans who are raised according to the culture of their parents, yet exposed to an entirely different outside the home. The writer must devote their 2 page essay to discussing their quest to define their ethnic identity.
