Concert in 2008 (Summer)
Hi everyone! I would like to know if anyone is interested seeing a concert nexy year 2008 during the summer. I would like to host one in the bay area.... I would need some help!!!
I would need a list of bands that are out there! Please help me out....
Do you think you can get Alicia Keys to perform? I will be there! Get my name on the RSVP list!

Well, this thread has been posted for awhile and no one has come forward because the information is so limited to whom is hosting this event or whose are the planner. The only 411 we know is "cutebabee" and that doesn't give people any idea who is the original planner. To plan the big event like this (concert), you have to give people enough information who to contacts. Time is running out, so if this concert should be happening, you (cutebabee)need put out more information such as who to reach and start to schedule meeting, that way you have some idea who is interesting in it. I know people are willing to come see the concert for sure....
this will be a great opportunity for mien musicians/bands to come together to showcase their passion and creativity. has this ever been done before? if this is to be the first Mien Concert, i imagine you will receive a pretty big crowd, considering that most, if not all, mien musicians will be present! how exciting!
the only times that mien people actually come together are during big events such as new year celebrations and the likes... one reason why people attend these events is because of entertainment purposes- imagine a live concert with all the bands and musicians together- how big do you think this will be?
i say go for it. this will be another event to draw the mien folks closer together and more connected as a whole.

Okay, so this is what I think. Because our community is NOT united, we have absolutely no "mien" people in the music and dance industry. We need to put our pride to the side and stop criticizing our own people and start helping them with the areas that they have a passion for. We need to help each other become stronger in these areas in order to get any credit or recognitions. I mean there are talents and skill out there that mien people have but it's a matter of getting that support system to get them out there and eventually get them into the professional field.
We need to start off with finding out what our tradittional mien people like verses what our younger generation like and from there there. This will allow us to not only learn from one another, but that will enable us to go forward with future events that will not only be fun but eventful in a way that no one has ever experience before.
I think we should definetely have a concert over the summer: it should be for the old and the young. I don't mind helping the person in charge of this corrdinating it.

If so, we need to combine the two discussions. If not, perhaps the two planners/groups should come together for one event.
