FYI: Is Pangu (Bienh Gouv) really a perfect Man?

looks like there are quite a few tribes in China believe in the legend of Pan Gu. Besides most of the Yao nationalities, the She, the Miao of Hai Nan Island[they might be the Lanten], and the Zhuang people also believe in Pan Gu. According to the Zhuang, their story of Pan Gu and the Iu-Mien's Pan Hu may not be the same one. The Zhuang's web site has a whole section just for the study of Pan Gu legend, and Pan Gu nation. And they believe that the Story originated in Guang Xi by the Zhuang people a few thousands years ago. Please c www.rauz.net for more details. By the way the Zhuang is also the decendent of the "Yue" people. They are related to the Tai Lao people of Southeast Asia, the Shan of Burma, and the Ahom of India.

There's only ONE Bienh Gouv (Hungh), or Pan Gu.
Though, there were many good stories about Him, which I don't know or ever heard of..

Perhaps it was referring to a different Pien-Hung; perhaps his offspring or children, maybe(?). Or did we only have one Pien-Hung, or were there a few of them?

Yeah, He went hunting for a mountain-goat in His land, which given to him by the Emperor whose daughter was Pan Gu's wife.
While hunting, He paid too much attention on His game(goat), He didn't watch his steps, He slip and fell to death (in a very high canyon/cliff).

That's why the original Yao drums were made of goat skin, for special ceremonies Yaos beat the drum hard to release the anger.
[Because of the goat Pan Gu lost his life], Every year on His Birth Day, the Yaos of China beat the giant drums made of goat skins.

Hi, GottaBHungry, Phan Gu wasn't killed by the Han.
His death was accidental. He fell off a cliff and His body was found dead on a tree branch half way down
Some book says He starved to death while stuck there.

Well, I don't know about perfect but I wished that he would've lived longer before he got killed by the Han, to strengthen and guide the Mienh.
