Did anyone lost a jacket at Sacramento February 23, 2008 party? We found 3 jackets left at the restaurant after the party. To claim your jacket, please email lostnfound@comcast.net and verify that it is yours by giving a brief description of the jacket (Men/Women, Type of jacket, Color, Size...etc.).

Plz don't get me wrong. I do have lots of respects for the elders. My point is when we are talking about couple of hours usually means 1-2hrs maximum. However 3-4hours are boredom. I hope you are right (just couple hours)because I don't drink beers other then H2O

I totally agree with you all about long speeches and boring shows. But what’s boring to us may be interesting to others. So to be fair and reasonable, let’s give the elders some respect and let them have couple of hours to introduce themselves and recognize others for their support and involvement in the Mien community, etc..etc. No worries, it’ll be brief. Just go grab couple of beers, sit back and enjoy the dinner. I know I'll be too busy stuffing myself to be bothered by anything. Have fun everyone!

There maybe some speeches but not all night long that's for sure.

What are you talking about? You mean to tell me that you want the planning committee to plan many speeches?
There has been many NY parties already and no one wants to go there and sit for so many hours and listen to what they have to say. We already learned alot from our parents already. Why need to have a lecture? Why have speeches that lasts for over 3hrs for? Why not just little introduction and welcoming the guests for attending?

no remove speeches from agenda. since this is last new year party in sac speeches will go on all night long. guests from china talk about culture and guests from laos will talk about how we can get laos country back. dancing will be limited to y'all. Yuh!

I hope that this party will not have so much boring speeches. Not to be rude but I do not feel many of us wants to hear those elders giving speeches.
I heard there will be a slide show that will take at least 20mins of fun time.
I am sure anyone whom attends this event do know about our cultures and no one needs to see a boring slide show. Please if this is true, please remove it from the agenda.
I heard that there will be guest speakers from China whom will also be giving speeches about our Mien culture as well.
I hope it will be fun because we don't want to hear bunch of speeches. We are there to have fun and be entertain by my favorite band. I sure do not want to be there for at least 3-4hrs sitting down and listening to speeches. Planning commitee, please reconsider remodifying the agenda. One to two 10mins speeches to thank the supporters and start the live music and no long speeches!

WOW! Blackrain & Kumbang peforming live! . Winter has been very cold lately. Spring (Kool April Nite)has been on my mind, but I can't wait for summer romance.... I am hoping by attending this NY party will bring me back to the late 80’s N 90’s endless summer night....

I am excited to attend this event. Am hoping it will turn out the way I expected (non-stop music) not so much those flipping hand (hehehe)

true, i agreed with you! there are too many haters and jealousy out there. people jealous what they can't do like others can do. yeah, keep up the good work and keep it going to all the mien singers. If you have the guts to go on stage with all the crowds then you know how to do your job especially in singing takes alot courage to be on stage. I'm very proud of all of you singers each time on stage. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

That restaurant occupies more than 500 people and much better than Holiday Villa Restaurant. I went there once not too long agao.

Looks like kevin_nai will be bringing a bunch of people from the bay area to go support this event. Looking forward to listen to all the greatest hits and new songs by Blackrain and Kumbaung. Bring back the good old time, guys. :). Looking foward to catch up with my other half of KKD, Keith and Damien_Lou.

Special request to Eric. You need to sing that new song that you were planning to include in the new album. Gauv used to post that video when you guys performed in Richmond awhile ago. I'm telling you, it rocks !

I am so looking forward to this event. Haven't had two great bands playing together for a long time. It's going to be a blast because these two bands can entertain their guests. If you haven't bought your ticket you're going to be missing out.

I JUST GOT TO SAY THIS, IT SEEMS LIKE EVERYBODY JUST DON'T GET THE POINT. ALL THE PARTY THAT I HAVE BEEN ARE SUCKS BECAUSE GUEST SPEAKERS ARE WASTING THE TIME. THE PARTY PLANNERS NEED TO REALIZE THAT PEOPLE THERE TO HAVE FUN NOT LISTENING TO THEIR PERSONAL STORIES. A LOT OF PARTIES ARE DELAY THEIR SCHEDULES SBECAUSE OF TOO MUCH TALKING. IF I WERE THE PARTY PLANNERS I WOULD MAKE SURE EVERYBODY HAVE THEIR LIMIT TIME.

I think if we can get rid of the long speech we all (guests) would be happy.

Kumbaung is a great band. I love all their albums and their songs have great meanings! I am a one of their fan however one of the sentence kind of bother me "You people seem to bitch and whine all the time"
I hope it was meant for those who have something to say about the band and not to those who supports the events regardless of who is the band. ALL bands are great!!

I have much respect for all musicians. I've seen all bands play, sing and perform on stage and it takes alot of guts and hard work to do the things you guys do to keeps us people entertained at parties. I appreciate that. Not many can do that. Kumbaung has made some of the all time greatest mien musics, regardless what they have. You've heard their music, great songs and singers and players. I hope you guys continue ur music business because you've made history for mien musics along with kao chiem and wife and all other Mien Musicians. Keep up the good work. You guys rock regardless what other people may say about u, they're just hatin cause they don't have any harmony in their life. Great job.

Kumbaung has good enough equipment for this kind of event. They don’t do this for living. They don’t get paid for their performances. In order for them to get better equipment, how about supporting them a little. Would you like to donate some of your “dineros” so they can get better equipment?

You people seem to bitch and whine all the time. But you don’t realized how much it cost, the time and effort that’s put into to have a real band. How about showing some support and appreciation towards them and the community.

WTF you know about the band equipments californiadorn? Kumbaung and Blackrain have the most complete band equipments as i recall..Go suck yourself californiadorn, i'm not in Cali, but they are my cousin you talking to....OUT

i hear that kumbaung playing this event, they will need better equipment because it sucks.

On behalf of IMCF, I would like to add that this event is not your typical, traditional New Year celebration. There will be very few speeches, and maybe one or two dance performances. The rest of the night is non-stop live music and dance. We will try our best to make it an enjoyable and fun event for everyone.

If you haven’t got your tickets yet, get it now. Tickets are going fast. I would like to remind everyone that we will not sell tickets at the door. This is a banquet event so all seats are reserved on first come first serve basis.

And NO, members does not get in free, unless working staff. Since this is a banquet event there won’t be any cleaning up or mopping floors, like what Tommy Phan said.

The restaurant capacity is 600-700 people, so it is pretty large and it does have a good size stage for entertainment.

Looking forward to seeing you all there on February 23rd.

That restaurant as I recalled it, it is pretty large, at least bigger than the one ppl normally use such as Holiday Villa and great stage for the band to perform too.

No free table for the members.
All members must work hard, greet and entertain guests, clean up tables, sweep floors.. etc. LOL, j/p.
I think that restaurant is way too small for such event....
